twenty years ago.
imagine how different the world was.
no iphones.
and the whole world was engulfed by millennium bug.
isang software error na aakalain ng computers na ang year 00 ay 1900 imbis na 2000 pagpatak ng new year. naloka ang mga tao nun. pwedeng bumagsak diumano ang mga eroplano habang nasa ere, magrestart ang mga computers at magdown ang mga computer powered machines.
total chaos.
ang baliw lang. ang naalala ko nun, akala ng nanay ko tatak ng computer ang y2k. haha.
pero ang ending? exag lang mga tao. wala namang significant changes.
normal lang though may mga minor instances sa ibang bansa.
nokia 5110 ang isa sa mga must have phones nun. kung saan pwede kang maadik sa snake -- at ang concept ng smart phone ay mapapanood lang sa sci-fi films.
ang power lang ng cellphone mo ay magtext at tumawag. hindi pa uso ang unlitext at unlicall. titipirin mo ang 300 mo.
but imagine the power na hindi mo na kailangang umasa sa trust sa tuwing may meeting kayo ng classmates mo or lakad ng barkada. usapang maayos na lang kapag sinabing 10 am ang kitaan sa mall.
so matetest talaga ang patience mo at maghihintay ka sa meeting place nyo at talagang minsan isang oras kang maghihintay. but with the magic of cellphones, madali na kayong makapagupdate pag paalis na ng bahay -- basta may load.

ang amazing lang isipin. kung mulat ka na nun, kagaya ko, nakakakilabot lang isipin na in our lifetime nakaranas tayo ng buhay na magkaibang-magkaiba sa nararanasan natin ngayon.
imagine your 1999 self na magtratravel ngayong 2019. siguro mabaliw-baliw siya.
sa konsepto palang ng smart phone, paniguradong mind blown na si 1999 self!
